Sharing Session Mary Dhang #6: Launching “Youthies.id” Podcast

 Hello peeps!

As an opening in January, I wish you a Happy New Year 2021. We have passed 2020 and hopefully this year joy will always be with us. 

Finally, after getting trough many activities and meetings, Youthies.id Podcast was released on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 7.00 PM WIB through the Anchor platform and was present on Spotify. This month's meeting with Ms Dhang was held on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 01.00 PM PH for approximately 1 hour. The things we've discussed include:

• Editing the recording 

Overall recording's editing is done on the Anchor website. The platform is easy to use with a frendly interface so that new podcasters like me can easily understand how to use it. In addition, there are additional features such as bacground sound which I used on the opening podcast and a transition sound to separate each topic of discussion. The podast section includes the opening (introduction to the podcast), chatting casually with the topic of discussion with the speaker and closing a message from the speaker to the audience. The total duration is 25 minutes 49 seconds.

• Revising the logo

The podcast logo has  several improvements. The first logo, which is the image below, is considered less representative of the meaning of the podcast name. 

The Youthies.id logo depicts the diversity of characters where they are often confused with diverse thoughts, doubt about life goals, passionate and the most active in finding their identity. So, my reflection is that the logo must be colorful and there is a microphone symbol as the podcast symbol. Not to forget, I added the tagline, namely "Youth Making Good Impact" which means that young people are expected to be motivated to create a good impact at least in their smallest environment. These are the revisions to the second and third logos (fixed logos) made during the meeting

• The Launching

After going through many logo revisions and several edits, the Youthies.id # 1 podcast launched on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 7.00 WIB. Here are the Anchor and Spotify links that have been distributed

There is a difference between the two Anchor's nalytics summarizes all available platforms and is distributed automatically by Anchor, such as Spotify, Breaker, RadioPublic, PocketCast and Google Podcast. However, listening updates on Anchor are less real-time because they have to wait several days and the amount of data collected must be sufficient. Meanwhile, the analytics on Spotify only summarizes Spotify's listeners.

I will continue to monitor this analytics every day and promote it regularly. The continuation of this podcast is still in plan to be managed independently by me with a theme that has been agreed upon previously (link to SHARING SESSION MARY DHANG #3). Ms Dhang said she would review whether to become a mentor again in the upcoming podcast episode.

As the end of the session with the mentor, an evaluation of the semester that has been carried out will be scheduled (evaluation results will follow)
